Do angels really walk the Earth alongside, but invisible to, humans? I believe so, and here's why.

Angels are spiritual beings sent by God to help us through life. Unlike stories in the Bible where the prophets had personal contact with God, this would be too much for most people. So angels act as intermediaries between God and humans, helping us in times of trouble and gently guiding us to make the right choices, when we come to a crossroads in our life.

Although we have a guardian angel, who has personal responsibility for our welfare, at times of great transitions in our lives -- such as birth marriage and death your personal angel is joined by a great number of angels. You will read in the bible of momentous events being accompanied by a "heavenly host of angels" and so it is in a less dramatic fashion in your own life.

Many people believe that, in addition to your personal guardian angel, there are "specialist" angels who help humans out with specific problems. For example, many people rely on "Parking Angels", who, when asked, somehow manage to invariably find a convenient parking place for those with faith enough to ask. I have heard of this successfully happening on far more occasions than can be attributed to mere co-incidence.

When you are faced with dire circumstances, you might be helped by an archangel. These beings are on a higher level than your guardian angel and, as such, have greater powers than the guardian angel. It is thought they have direct contact with Jesus and can thus exert far greater power than mere guardian angels, over which they hold a supervisory role.

So, when you go about the world, with all its dangers, draw comfort from the notion that your guardian angel watches over you and their watchful gaze is backed by the mighty power of an archangel.
